Week of July 18-21

Monday was string class. Our second meeting. Nice big sound! It's exciting.

Tuesday I only got to practice for a half hour

Wednesday Practiced with Daryl for an hour. Went over the two new pieces.

Thursday did mostly technique for about 45 minutes...

*GOAL~Need to work harder and do at least an hour a day!!!!

Tomorrow is my 1 hour lesson with Kara...

Week of July 11-15th

Monday was our first string class with all the new students. It was great. Love the big sound. Kara gave us two pieces so far. Trying to practice them during the week! In the evening I had dress rehersal for the Flamenco show.

Tuesday was my Flamenco performance at the Fst branch library. Nice sized stage and arena. Was a good experience and lots of fun! Didn't get to practice the violin though.

Wednesday I got to practice at Daryl's house. We did some technique as warm-up and practiced on of the new pieces. Got to practice for an hour w/ her.

Thursday was able to get a half hour in. Mostly technique.

Friday--Just getting ready to head out to Orange County to see Bob Dylan!!!!

4th of JULY week

Monday was the 4th of July. Was nice to have a BBQ at mom's house.

Tuesday I did get to practice a good solid hour in the morning. Went over technique and practiced the Beethoven peice.

Wednesday "no practice" went to the Chiropractor for my shoulder :(
Thursday "no practice"

Hectic Week!

Monday was our string class. Got some good class time.

Tuesday was busy and was not home too much. I did get about a half hour or practice.

Wednesday was the day Daryl came over and we did get about an hour in. We did work on the Beethoven and The Mouldau. She was helpful and we had fun warming up with some Irish.

Thursday, I was out all day and came home tired!

Today is Friday...geez where did the week go? Gonna try to get an hour in tonight!

Wednesday

Went over to Daryl's house and practiced with her. Got to go over the Beethoven piece and we also went over The Moldau a bit. Was nice to see her house and her dog Ralphie (he was a cutie!)

Had some unexpected company last night, so I didnt get to practice. Tonight I have rehersal for the Flamenco show on Monday. Gonna try to practice during the day.

Monday's string class

Good class yesterday. Understanding the Moldau a little better. The Beethoven peice is such a challenge for me. Hopefully it will get easier. I had fun and that is what is most important.

Thursday night

Got to only get a little over a half hour practice. Worked on Merry sisters for a while and the Moldeu. Tried to work on the Beethoven peice...but need some private lesson time for that.

Wednesday String Class

Class was challenging today. The beethoven piece is difficult. I really hadn't practiced it. I will check it out tomorrow. Merry Sisters is a fun piece. I need to speed it up!

Tuesday

Got to practice only 45 minutes on tuesday. worked on The Moldeu

Monday

50 minutes of practice today! Good, considering the busy day I had. Getting a new dress made for flamenco! Gonna work harder tomorrow...i'm hoping :)

Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Friday was a great one hour lesson! Thanks Kara! I worked Sat and Sun which made it hard to practice. I am exhausted. Hope to get back on a good schedule starting Monday...

Thurday Practice

One hour! I was able to practice with the little mute thing. It was full sound. Mistakes and all! I had fun and the hour went by super fast!

Wednesday

Yay! Got to practice 45 minutes today. The time just flew by! Gonna try to work up to an hour. My reading is improving.

Tuesday

Tuesday was hectic, I did get a chance to practice two separte times! one time for about 20 minutes and another time for about 30 minutes....combined it is good time...Just trying to get my schedule up to date!

Monday's practice

Well, I forgot to post again! Mondays practice was just over a half hour, Trying to get more practice today. I will post again later....

Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Didn't get to practice these three days. Tomorrow "Monday" is a new day and the begining of a new week. I am planning to get in more practice.

Wednesday and Thursday Practice

Gosh, I am so bad at this! Keeping up with the Blog has been a challenge. I always forget! Anyway, I got to practice a half hour on Wednesday and 45 minutes on Thursday. I will try to get more time in this week.

Tuesday night practice

Got a good half hour in! Yesterday we had a small barbeque. I was real busy so I didn't get a chance to practice.

Sunday

Didn't get a chance to practice yesterday (sat), but did get a chance today. I got a half hour at least. I will start a better routine tomorrow. Gonna try to get in an hour a day....let's see. I have to get into a good routine I can easily follow.

Lesson with Kara

Had a good lesson with Kara. I always feeel more motivated after a good lesson. Need to continue my practice schedule. Look for the flashcards and keep on posting! Gorgeous weather today...

Violin Practice (tuesday)

Forgot to get in here and post about my practice on Tuesday! I got a good 45 minutes of practice. Did work on Merry Sisters. Did my scales and etude books. I'll keep on with this, hoping my reading skills will improve.
